mission bug: escorted freighter faster than player

Description
In the escort mission (I think it has different names, should be on the starting planet), the freighter you are supposed to escort is faster than the player, so you can't keep up. It has also not been attacked by anyone for me, maybe because of it's speed.
Not so sure about the category (there is no mission category).
